EMERALD TSAR
x OSKAR II*Pg* o/o ENCORE
ORB-B-S1215 / Chestnut / 15.1 / Foaled June 17, 2008

Looking for an “A” circuit Children’s or Adult Amateur Hunter prospect? Emerald Tsar is a future winner in the Hunter Ring! “Nick” is a 2008 (mid June) gelding who currently stands 15.3 and is expected to get to 16.0 – 16.1 hh. He has a lovely “daisy clipper” trot that is reaching with his shoulder and powerful behind, his canter is rolling, uphill and forward, while his walk is sweeping with a large overtrack behind. He has been free jumped lightly and shows a bold jump with plenty of scope as well as an eagerness and love of jumping. His front end technique is tight and good, he has excellent bascule and a safe hind end that doesn’t like to touch the fences.

Nick has been in professional training and is
showing the A Circuit - placing Top 3
with Little Star Stables!

Oskar II *Pg* has competed through Grand Prix Dressage under Hoken Thorne with scores in the mid 60's. Oskar is of course by the great stallion Hockey who has produced over 40 offspring of international caliber horses at Grand Prix in both Jumping and Dressage. Oskar’s dam line carries the best and most successful jumping lines available in Russia, including Champion jumping stallion, Ossian, and his grandson, Blesk, who was the USSR Champion in Jumping. Blesk also sired Russian Dance out of Tabor, Quixotte Priboy out of Priboj, Velbot, and the well known stallion, Biotop, who was an International Dressage Champion under R. Klimke.

Nick is out of our PSB approved mare, Encore. “Cory” competed in hunters through 3' and jumpers to Level 3 with great success and was only limited by her owner's abilities.  She was also schooled to 3rd level Dressage.

Through the dam line she combines some of the best sport horse Thoroughbred lines of Diplomat Way, Jet Baby, and Nashau.  She also has some of the older, more difficult to find (but valuable for sport horse breeding) lines of Bagatelle, Mikado, and Burnus fairly close up.

His older brother and sister are proving themselves in the show ring just as his dam and sire have done.   Nick’s full sister, Emerald Fire, was recently named the ATA's 3-year old HOY for fillies, was the winner of the In Hand Futurity (against fillies and colts/geldings), was Grand Champion of the Mare/Foal Show at the ATA Convention (judged by the Verband's Breed Director with the remark that she is what the breed should be breeding to get), as well as Reserve Champion of the Mare Inspection at the Convention (tied with the 7-year old Grand Champion mare) - with high scores including a "9" for type. Emerald Fire was also the 2008 Yearling Filly USDF HOY as well as winning ATA’s HOY in hand every year with scores in the upper 70’s to low 80’s. Nick is a flashy, people-loving horse who is ready to have a job.  He shows promise that he will follow in his dam’s footsteps and become virtually unbeatable in the hunter ring.
